Default How often do you see dogs on the trail?

How often do you see dogs on the trail? I have a big furry bear of a Great Pyrenees, and I love her, but I'm afraid she'd be unwelcome on the trail (or unpleasant to be around). I'm aware of the rules of burying waste, keeping her on-leash, and making sure she generally behaves. I also know that most people don't particularly like barking interrupting their peaceful trail experiences, especially if the barking is interrupting their peaceful trail sleeping. My Hannah tends to be a little... bark-y. On guard, I call it. Annoying, others (including my husband) call it. Regardless, I won't bring her if our practice runs show that it'll be an issue.

I'm fully aware that she might not be the best hiking companion, and I wouldn't dare bring her if I feel like she'll detract from others' enjoyment of the trail. That's just unfair. But I do want to know how commonplace it is to see dogs on the trail, and how welcome those dogs are.

Thanks!
