Finally quit snowing here, nearly 3 feet of snow. I am tired of shoveling. I'd rather be hiking!

18" here next to Three Mile Island. And fortunately, my snow blower has an 18" high feed on the front.

First look out the garage door:

We must have been on the dividing line. Rain mostly, then turned to snow early in the morning. Just about an inch of powder to go hiking in tomorrow, but I bet I'll be tip-toeing through most of the creeks. Still breaking in the new AT boots..... YE HA! T-minus 33 days (as of tomorrow).

This kind of snow makes me think that people who live in Maine are a special breed.

We got almost 3 ft here in Western Maryland, and are expecting 6 - 10" more on Wednesday! I've dropped 3 lbs from shoveling snow. Great work out!

Yeah, we're expecting the same here in Winchester. I'm actually running out of places to pile the stuff I've shoveled off the driveway without carrying it 30 feet.

Haven't checked, but I think I lost a pound or 2 myself. I could use a few more, but I'm not asking for more snow! [/I]

I'm sure we'll loose plenty of poundage on the trail! I have intentionally put on 15lbs since Nov trying to fatten up a bit. I'm fairly active, so it's hard to keep on. It's all good!

I'm so looking forward to the 12 to 18 inches that we have forecast for this week
Not only that, but the wife is talking about doing a short overnighter this coming weekend
